When pressing the power button the system shuts down but never completes the
process.

The last message visible on the screen is as follows:

dbus-marshal-recursive.c(1186)got here[repeats about 100 times]X connection
to:0.0 broken )explicit kill or server shutdown)

>From this point on the device is unresponsive, pressing the powerbutton does not
work. The battery has to be removed to reboot the device.
