Summary: Superflous information in Today Display
           Product: OpenMoko
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://blogs.gnome.org/thos/files/2007/10/screenshot-
                    today-analog-clock.png
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: openmoko-today
        AssignedTo: thomas at openedhand.com
        ReportedBy: douglas.furlong at gmail.com
                CC: buglog at lists.openmoko.org

On current screen shots of the today app, there is information indicated that I
feel should not be present on release, examples...

"No pending events or tasks"
"No new messages"

I understand that this information is handy during the devel/proof of concept
stage, as it shows the capabilities, but when we come to release I would rather
a lack of display implied nothing new to be actioned as opposed to be told this
was the case.

We could either use the freed up space to show additional information, e.g.
missed calls, showing who and when if space is available.

Or just have a "cleaner" more minimal interface (showing off more of the desktop
back ground).

Doug
