Summary: matchbox keyboard maps differently with USB plugged in
           Product: OpenMoko
           Version: 2007.2
          Platform: Neo1973
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: openmoko-keyboard
        AssignedTo: mickey at openmoko.org
        ReportedBy: cwixon at usa.net
                CC: buglog at lists.openmoko.org

Okay, this is a weird one.

On a recently-built image (earlier this week) including kernel 2.6.24, the
matchbox keyboard works differently depending on whether USB is plugged in or not.

I have the multitap keypad removed and the matchbox keyboard reinstalled per the
wiki -- http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Switching_Keyboards -- and most of the
keys work fine.

BUT the 7 8 9 0 - keys act as follows:

With USB plugged in, "7 8 9 0 -" turn into "{ [ ] } \" (regardless of shift or
caps-lock state).

With USB unplugged, the "7 8 9 0 -" keys yield "7 8 9 0 -" as one might expect.

This is repeatable, plug in => weird result; unplug => normal, over and over again.
