#1857: Powering down GSM module kills resume
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
Reporter: ChristW | Owner: openmoko-kernel
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: System Software | Version: Om2008.8
Severity: normal | Resolution:
Keywords: GSM off -> no resume | Blockedby:
Blocking: | Reproducible: always
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
Comment(by bbb8):
So it seems turning off the gsm modem even manually is not allowing the
system to suspend but just turning the backlight of the screen off,
tricking alot of us (including me) into thinking the phone is in suspend
and is not resuming so only way to take battery out, but ssh is active
and apm -s shows device or resource busy , backlight can be turned back on
by echoing either 1 or 0 to /sys/devices/platform/s3c2440-i2c/i2c-
adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/backlight/pcf50633-bl/bl_power and ,xset s reset and
putting brightness back up to 63 , only way i found allowing me to suspend
again to ./etc/init.d/xserver-nodm stop
HELP!! :)
