Since the official mac change on USB networking, on many distros the host
and the device part of the link share the same MAC address. while the link
is mostly usable, this mac duplication break many network configuration
 (in my case : bridging)

SHR unstable and om2009 fixed this by incrementing the host mac address if
the two mac are the same. Recently a Qi patch was posted to the openmoko-
kernel mailing list to do the same thing :
 http://lists.openmoko.org/pipermail/openmoko-kernel/2009-May/010154.html

But there are still many users with an u-boot installation and many
distributions where this bug can occur.
