Nobody concerned about their privacy will want to use the daemon.
In the worst-case scenario you should compute the 
navigation solution from pseudorange data
provided by this chipset. 
To extract it, the same raw data can be logged simultaneously
with a sirf receiver using tools 
from http://www.ualberta.ca/~ckuethe/gps
