Gpsdrive 2.x is, ehm, 'quality and speed challenged'. A better route would be to work with
the maemo-mapper dudes to make the hildon stuff optional (there are already patches for
that), since that was written for an ~200MHz arm cpu with a big screen, instead of for a
desktop.
