And what about an electronic tuner for my guitar?  Of course with 
support for alternative tunings.  Oh, and while we're at it, I'd also 
like it to work for my concert zither 
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Zither.png).  And the piano as well, 
perhaps?

Does something like this exist already?
