Isn't very complex either - Linux system time is UTC and can be
synced through nntp while network access exists.
Alternatively, one can read the local or UTC time from GPS.
So, local and global time is avaliable. It may just need some nice
user interface to show time of two time zones by default (both your
home zone and your current zone)...
