Hello,
From: https://gna.org/projects/tagsfs
TagsFS is a file system for music files. It presents your mp3 and ogg
files in a virtual tree based on the tags of the files. You can browse
your files by artist, title and album, as well as searching based upon
tags.
<--- the media player becomes a regular filebrowser + mpg321 frontend
From: http://manishrjain.googlepages.com/flickrfs
Flickrfs is a virtual filesystem which mounts on your linux machine
like any other partition. Once mounted, it retrieves information about
your photos hosted on your flickr account, and shows them as files.
<--- just mount your flickrfs to have access to your remote photo
collection, with on-demand downloading
A lot of online services could transparently add features to openmoko
using fuse (gmailfs, cryptFS, ...).
Do you have ideas/comments (mainly regarding the devices' resources)?
We may gain UI design simplicity this way.
Florent
