Wow that's interesting.

Goes to show that it's possible to get a cheap GPRS-only service for
such special purposes.  (less than $10 per month, or maybe way less)
I'd like to know who the carrier is, and how open they are to this
type of contract.  But this is kindof like the Kindle using EVDO, and
apparently that's also been negotiated cheap enough for Amazon to eat
the cost.
