I have a symbol in my panel add the following to /etc/matchbox/session
matchbox-panel-2 --start-applets systray,startup \
anel-bt,openmoko-panel-memory,openmoko-panel-wifi --titlebar &
after that you have to restart the x-server and look what's new ;-)
