+1 to use the Qtopia sqlite3 database for the PIM (it may be a 
recommendation of the community) and develop one (or many) python stack 
outside of the "low-level" stack ( suspend/resume, GSM, GPRS, SMS, GPS, 
sounds, screen, accelerometers)
