22kHz, 1 channel, 16 bit is 2.5MB/min - this is more than good enough
quality for picking out words, etc

a two hour trip would be ~280Mb. no problem

we could probably go down to 11kHz, 8 bit, and not have problems -
this would be 35MB/hr

or, to save more space, would the freerunner be capable of encoding mp3?
