I experienced the same ;)

I am a e17 user on my desktop so I know you can change your engine with :
enlightenment_remote -engine-set <OPT>
where <OPT> can be SOFTWARE or XRENDER. (maybe SAFTWARE16 too on FR... you
can know it with -engine-list )

my pb is I don't have networking with om2009 yet :) s I can't set it up :)
