It doesn't do any error checking (in the sense of bad login credentials,
etc). Did you set up a ~/.netrc file as documented at

Right now all I wanted to have was something that could get a list of
notices and post something. I have already used it to post data from
the phone[1], so that part works.

Fetching (Reload button) also worked so maybe I have screwed up somewhere
and in your case it doesn't show anything :(
