Kernel 2.6.28 (still) not running on my Freerunner

I used the dfu-util on the cli. e.g.
./dfu-util -d 0x1d50:0x5119 -a kernel -R -D
uImage-2.6.28-stable-xxxxxx-om-gta02.bin

The strangest thing is that kernel 2.6.24 is working without any problem
and flashed with the same commands.
