yes, it wasn't working very well

there are several options for controlling wifi:
lint
the moko services script bundle
the above two worked well for me as a combo, although it's not the
greatest having one app to turn it on, one to manage connections, but
there you go

mofi (which i could never get to work, but ymmv)

for more apps - there are loads for managing wifi there:

wlan
knjmokowifi
wmiconfig, etc

is it an mp3 file?

iirc, the mp3 codec was removed, as someone started suing people who
released packages which infringed on mp3 patents
