[all/fso?] external battery "just mobile gum pro" woes

the opp battery view offers thre buttons for 100/500/1000 mA, i hit all  
three time or another -- no change.

i guess, i should give the plain fso call a try -- but i don't see, how  
that would explain the oscillating.
