osm2mcmap (for mcnavi)

Error opening file! means it cannot open the file for reading, it has not
started to parse it. 

As an experiment, I tried using the command on the
california.osm.administrative file, and it started on that through 100%
Process ways, but then segfaulted.  What could keep it from opening a file
in the current directory (including starting from absolute path)?  file
california.osm returns: XML document text.
