Here GPF5 is high (1) when the wifi is disabled and goes down (to 0)
only when I turn the wifi on with

om wifi power 1

(which writes to some /sys/.../bind file that I can't remember right now.)

Does the energy consumption increase if you turn the wifi on? If not,
it might already be on.
