We do not own the assembly line (why should we?).

If you are willing to pay, there are several thousands of SMT lines around the world to choose from. I think we could enter the same endless discussion as in software: what does "Free" mean? "Free beer" or "Free speech"?

No idea. They need complete production documents to give a quotation.

If you have your own line, may I assume you would prefer option 1 or 2?
