OSMAnd looks great, indeed...

Try SHR and Navit to see if it pleases you. I've never had any
problems with the GPS turning on (and off) in SHR. That was last year
(since my earpiece broke, rendering my GTA02 useless...), so I'm not
aware of the latest status.
