<a href="http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/FAQ.html#q1.10" target="_blank" onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)">Actually, they have plan to put Minimo on Linux</a>. It seems to me they might just need a Linux smart-phone partner for development and test. If OpenMoko is using Minimo, we can also take advantage from the Mozilla community.
