<br><br>Also one of the guiding ideals of the project is that it will eventually be ready for mass-market users (Sean said he wanted it to be a phone his dad could use) Once that happens, we're going to get a flood of these kind of questions, unless we're ready for them... asking questions like this helps tweak that process
<br><br>I've started a linux newbies section in the "other resources" page on the wiki(<a href="http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Other_Resources">http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Other_Resources</a>) (I'm not sure if that info should go there or on its own page, but with the current navigation, it seemed like the best place to put it) and included the previous links. Eventually it would be nice to have a convenient "look on the wiki here and it will get you to the right place" link for questions like this.
