</div>I think you can store the distro on a SD card and boot from there.<br>
If you use a 4GB card you have plenty of space for everything.<br>

It may be a little slower than internal Flash.<br>
<br>
For SHR you need to unpack the kernel to a FAT partition<br>
and the .tgz root file system to an ext2/ext3.<br>
