python dbus addressbook bindings - help/doc preferred

Hi,

I was trying to modified the import SIM card script  as posted here:
http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Import_Sim_Contacts

but got stuck when trying to read the full addressbock via
book=getAddressBook().getContactList("*"):

dbus.exceptions.DBusException: 
org.gnome.evolution.dataserver.addressbook.Book.othererror: Cannot 
complete operation


What is my problem hee?
How does the 'query' argument of getContactList() look like?
Is there any further documentation about the addressbook/dbus/python 
thing?
