I looked at the ogg vorbis playback APIs, and the output frequency seems 
to be set by the file.  (I'd love to be proven wrong on this one!)

Also, by "want 44.1", I mean that setting gstreamer to resample to 48kHz 
before passing the data into alsa/gstreamer leads to an error message.

I could be doing it wrong...
