Somebody in the thread at some point said:
| It appears that the u-boot images built with Openembedded and published
| on buildhost.openmoko.org/daily/... are still built from a bitbake
| recipe that uses the upstream (www.denx.de) git repository + a patch
| series from Openmoko's svn repository (indicated by the "+svnr4297" in
| the filename). The last commit to the svn patch series was on
| 2008-04-02, and newer u-boot updates have gone into OM's git
| (http://git.openmoko.org/?p=u-boot.git;a=summary).

WAH. Thanks for finding this, it explains a current mystery with
Carsten not being able to do resume reason discovery.

| I have attached a recipe that is based on the existing
| "u-boot-openmoko-devel_git.bb" recipe. It will build from the stable
| branch of the OM u-boot.git tree.
|
| I have also added a UBOOT_MACHINES entry for "gta02v6", although I'm not
| sure if this is required or if the "gta02v5" u-boot can be used instead
| (with the software auto-detecting the actual board revision through GPIO
| pins).

Yes it is OK, we fixed U-Boot GTA02 at v5 and will use the revision pins
you mentioned. So all shipping GTA02 should use the same "v5" U-Boot setup.

| I would appreciate it if someone from Openmoko could review this recipe
| and make any necessary changes. I have briefly tested an image built
| with this recipe on my gta01bv4, but I am not able to test any of the
| other images as I do not yet have a Freerunner.

Me too, obviously we need to swap over after confirming it is good.
Thanks again for finding and moving it forward.
