AUX/Power Button are malfunctioning on 2008.9 + updates from testing

could anyone hint me with what to dig? what app is supposed to handle
aux/power button presses while the phone is fully up? why am I
experiencing 4-5 sec delay to resume whenever I press power button while
being suspended?

any hints are welcome!
