The wildcard is that PMUs will not stay still either in the meanwhile,
for example they may have EEPROM or internal smarts next time we look
for one.
We already found that correct assumptions about debricking born in one
era are invalid in a new era, we just have to look with fresh eyes at
next architecture and see what is needed to get it working nicely. It
may or may not be the MPU that would be useful now, it may easily be
nothing the way integration has gone historically.
