Issues with Ubuntu package names and Toolchain?

When trying to build the openmoko-sample2 project, I try to run
om-conf, but it tells me the following packages were not found

No package 'libmokoui2' found
No package 'gconf-2.0' found

I do have them installed (running Ubuntu 8.04.1), but they are called

libmokoui2-0
gconf2

respectively.

How can I make om-conf believe they are installed?
