Somebody in the thread at some point said:

| Andy, this is the diff before the rotation and after the failed
| rotation (WS). How can I make sense of these values?
| (I guess I might have to - I haven't read docs yet).

Well, doesn't look like the reset problem. If that ever happens a bunch
of engine enables change back to their defaults.

| -0030: 187d 0010 2000 0101 0102 0000 0000 0000

| +0030: 187d 0010 2000 0103 0102 0000 0000 0000

This 0101 -> 0103 is DCLK division going from 2:1 to 4:1.

| -1100: 0020 9020 0b40 01e0 0280 440c 0000 0000
| -1110: 6000 0009 0000 0000 03c0 0000 0200 0000
| +1100: 8020 9020 0b40 81e0 0280 440c 0000 0000

1100: b15 is "enable rotation mode" along with 1106:b15

| +1110: 6000 0009 0000 0000 0500 0000 0200 0000

1118 is "display pitch"

| -1180: 81b2 00fc 4600 0002 0000 0000 0000 0000
| +1180: 8023 0000 4600 0002 0000 0000 0000 0000

1180 is the "command queue", b15=1=empty, rest of it is dynamic ro data
1182 is readonly status info

So it reduced the LCD clock by factor of 2, set rotation mode, changed
display pitch to double the amount before.

IIRC it has to do a matching action in LCM ASIC settings if video will
continue to show, maybe the problem is from there.
