Iirc there's an mpd package in the angstrom repositories, but the repo 
browser doesn't load for me atm... Or I'm simly too impatient.
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/repo/

For Debian you can use the same package as on your gta01 which I suspect 
to be from the Debian repo.
