Creating binary image for Freerunner

Hi,

Need one clarification for creating rootfs binary image.
Do we need to create image with build folder as input or with image folder?  I created 

Desktop~#mkfs.jffs2 -d /opt/Qtopia/SDK/4.4.2/arm/image/ -o rootfs.jffs2

but, unfortunately it is not working...
