Hi,<br><br>I connected a Prolific USB to Serial converter (based on chip PL2302).I saw the list of devices in /dev but it wasnt turning up.Any suggestions about how to get the USB to serial converter up and running?<br><br>

You load the usb-serial module and a /dev/ttyUSB* device will<br>
appear. Then you can use e.g. ser2net or picocom to talk to it.<br>
