Battery charging/draining issues

One possible culprit might be that you are not actually powering down
the phone.

When pressing the power button, the phone often just goes to sleep -
and the screen goes black then. Same thing happens (atleast at times)
when selecting power off from the menu.

The only reliable means of powering off the phone is holding down the
power button for 9 seconds.

I've had no battery drain what so ever during the night when the phone
has actually been powered off.

As for battery life when the phone is actually on and not sleeping -
don't expect more than a few hours (depending on backlight/gsm/etc.).
