I was able to make voice calls and messaging work on my GTA01, and this
is great progress seen from a user's perspective!
The Message UI is rather puzzling, though, I was able to use it.
If it is now possible to make the GTA01 handle battery power in a decent
way, i might actually become a really useful device, also for regular
usage. I don't usually want to carry more than one mobile device with
me, so my Neo still sits on my desk at home.
Decent battery power handling would be:
1.Needing charge less than once each day, even when on 24/7.
2.Being able to keep charging and not loosing/disconnecting charging
while plugged in, see:
http://bugzilla.openmoko.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1158
I know that battery handling has improved on the GTA02, but I hope that
also the GTA01 will eventually be usable for common everyday use :-)
