Whom do you mean by "admins"? The wiki editors?
I don't think it would be that much work for us. Renaming all the
pages manually would probably take five or six man-hours: I'd
volunteer to do all of the work.

I don't mean to have these pages excluded from the default search. The
default search can be easily configured to include some of the
namespaces.

I just suggest creating additional search boxes (For example: one at
""User's Manual" for searching through the manual, one at "Openmoko
developer guide" for searching through the pages about software
development, at "Wish List" for searching through the suggestions,
...)
Those search boxes should only search through specific parts of the
wiki while the standard search box would still search through all of
the wiki.
