mlbuf fixup

Hi,

In r2748 mlbuf handling is still broken. The actual allocation of the
buffer isn't yet included and gsmd likes to include the terminating
'\0' in the bytestream sent to the modem for single-line  messages.
Attached is the patch from OE to fix those issues.
