Keeping track of authorship may be a bit difficult for things like
components or schematics, where space is limited or where the format
does not provide a good space for putting this information.

I think we could just put the principal author whereever possible,
record all major contributors in the file AUTHORS, and use the
revision history to keep track of minor contributions.
