</div><br>one reason double-tap is rightly avoided on a touchscreen is it&#39;s imprecise. Selecting text is interesting but still problematic unless the font is big. <br><br>I&#39;ll bet apple pulls it off here because it&#39;s a double tap in a big region so the two taps don&#39;t need to land in the same place.
