As others have said, it looks like a git version incompatibility.
As it said that it fetched it from the tarball stash, then you should get Mickey to look at the machine which uploads to the tarball stash.
I don't know if a tarball packed with git 1.4 is readable with git 1.5, but if that is the case then it would be best for the tarball stashes to be created with git 1.4 so that it can be read by people with either of 1.4 or 1.5 installed.

I was setting up another PC here this past weekend at FIC using your awesome MokoMakeFile and I was getting the following error message:

I copied this file from my other system and reran. Things worked fine. Is this a problem on my end?
