uboot build problems

I'm curious... why is linux-omap even a part of this build, which
doesn't use an OMAP processor? Is there some degree of similarity
between the OMAP and the Samsung processors?

It seems like there's a lot of churn at the moment. I got through one
complete build of 2007.2. Then I added a couple of packages of my own
and
the base build (uboot, linux-omap, gcc-cross-kernel, and others I hadn't
tracked down yet) are failing.

I'm trying another update-makefile, setup, etc. pass to see if some of
it
has been fixed. Another thing to try is "make clobber-patches"
