Backup

To add my 1/2 cent may I ask what backup mechanism is envisaged?
Backup to an SD card is all very well till the PDA is lost or stolen.
I would rather backup to another device such as my desktop or laptop and 
therefore on needs to look at TCP/IP or WiFi or Bluetooth or is there 
another way to get a connection?
