Future Button and LED software spec

Maybe I didnt read the thread so carefully, but has someone put an idea
that Neo can save some extra power by not using LEDs when LCD is already active,
an we can have all this information visible in some way on screen, and
only signal with LEDs when the LCD is dimmed?
