Any linux kernel experience?

The reason I ask this is because a lot of the work to get OM running
on the EZX devices is hold back from the linux kernel support on this
devices. I'm one of the core developer of OpenEZX and also the initial
writer of the EZX porting idea on the wiki.

The problem I see when looking backwards is that is more related to
get the OpenEZX kernel into a better state then doing a lot OM work. A
lot of the later is already given by using OpenEmbedded and the
Angstrom distro.

Real missing stuff is integration for dialer and audio pathes on the
EZX devices and getting a lot more driver up and running so we
actually can use more OM stuff.

It also depends a lot on how many slots we will get from Google this
year. Code that brings OM as platform forward shuld have higher
priority. The reason behind this if of course that all parties can use
this advantages.

I don't try to discourage you here. still looking forward for a
proposal for this. Just give you some more facts why this kind of
application is a bit more difficult.

I'm on the train right now, so no internet. I'll try to be online so
we can chat at 23:00 german time.
