Yup, just plays dead. No response to AUX, POWER, or alarm.
Hardware reset works, so we're at least not powered down.

Yes ! I'm very much looking forward to using that :-)

However, it seems that this time it won't help. We still have too
many build failures in our tree :-( Well, perhaps I can fix these
"transparently" from quilt on top of each commit git-bisect gives
me ...
