Sorry I don't know anything about it, on my laptop xorg will respond to
a drawing tablet added without any configuration and I think that is
/dev/input/event stuff.

/dev/input/touchscreen* is just a symlink to the correct
/dev/input/event node.  So maybe it will "just work".

Maybe someone who knows more about it can educate us.
