Yeah, it's just extra work. Someone does the editing, posts a patch,
someone else reviews is, checks it in, makes an upstream patch,
upstream looks a it, applies it, weeks later it trickles back, so we
need to remove it from our patch set, etc. Maybe it even breaks
someone's patch context, causing more work and introducing a patch
order dependency, and so on.

Takes a few minutes out of everyone's lives for no good reason.
